OneStop Business Registry
The B.C. government has partnered with the federal government, various municipal governments, and public agencies such as WorkSafeBC to reduce regulation and make it easier to start a business in British Columbia.
Using OneStop Business Registry, you can:
- Register your proprietorship or partnership or incorporate your company with the British Columbia Corporate Registry
- Register as a vendor for the provincial sales tax and operator for the hotel room tax with the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue
- Register as an employer with WorkSafeBC, the Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia
- Apply for personal optional protection coverage with WorkSafeBC
- Apply for a business number account for GST/HST, payroll deductions, corporate rate income tax and import/export with Canada Revenue Agency
- Apply for one or more municipal licences with participating municipalities
- Renew a liquor license with the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General
- Apply for a Business BCeID with the Ministry of Labour and Citizens' Services
- Change your business address with participating OneStop partners

Business registration services are available through the Internet Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day. Phone-in service is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time through the Surrey Chamber of Commerce at 604-581-7130. Companies can now incorporate online using Corporate Online. If you are incorporating a company you must incorporate before you can complete other required registrations, using OneStop Business Registry.
