The First Time Home Buyers' Program publications linked below have been updated to clarify when the penalty provision applies. In addition, First Time Home Buyers' Program – Example Calculations, is a new document containing the examples that were previously in the Guide. Minor wording and organizational changes have also been made to the publications for consistency and clarity.

The 2011 Property Tax Deferment applications, FIN 28 (Children and Families) and FIN 51 (Regular Application), have been posted to the Property Taxation website.

The brochure, Tax Benefit Programs for Persons With a Disability, has been revised to clarify that persons with dependent children under 18 years of age may qualify for the Families with Children Property Tax Deferment Program.

The brochure, Home Owner Grant Program, has been updated to include information on the Northern and Rural Area Homeowner Benefit, and to provide the new threshold amounts for the elimination of the basic and additional home owner grants.

Bulletin PTT 006, Subdivisions, has been updated to include information on property transfer tax exemptions for certain transfers made to facilitate an amendment to a strata plan under the Strata Property Act. The bulletin has also been rewritten in plain language.
