Property Tax Deferment Programs

Property Tax Deferment is one of two property tax assistance programs offered by the province (the Financial Hardship Program, offered in 2009 and 2010 is no longer available). Property Tax Deferment is a low-interest loan program that assists qualifying homeowners in British Columbia in paying the annual property taxes on their principal residences.

Property Tax Deferment is administered by the ministry in conjunction with the Municipal Tax Collectors and the Surveyor of Taxes (in rural areas).
